Outward Ventures is based in Claremont Cape Town and was established in 1988 by Geoff and Jeanne Ward. Our purpose is to market and distribute top quality equipment to the outdoor market through specialist retailers.
The years of experience in the outdoor industry of our expanded team have been fuelled by the passion and commitment we all feel for the outdoor activities we have been involved in. A consequence of this experience is that we have chosen and been chosen by some of the world's leading outdoor brands and we pride ourselves on the strength of these relationships.
Our suppliers include the following major brands DMM, Wild Country, Roca ropes, LaSportiva, MSR, Cascade Designs and Backcountry.
We enjoy selling products that reflect the innovation and commitment to quality that our suppliers build into their products as we believe this is the way to ensure that the end user gets the performance and reliability needed when the equipment is really put to the test. This commitment to quality by many of our suppliers is reflected in the fact that many of them adhere to ISO 9000 quality assurance procedures in their production.
Many of the products we sell have become icons in the market and a number have been copied but never equaled. The signs are that our suppliers will continue their leadership role in the innovation and manufacture of the finest outdoor gear. Our task is to assist as best we can to get this gear into our local market
